Haemorrhoids are widespread in industrialized countries of the world. Surgery is the right decision when choosing a treatment method. Today, medical centers across the country offer various types of surgical treatment.
But how can an ordinary person who has haemorrhoidal disease know which method is applicable for one or another form of the disease. Therefore, the clinic’s specialists prepared material that describes:
- Forms of haemorrhoids.
- What is transanal Doppler-guided disarterization?
- What is the method using HAL-RAR technology?
- Advantages of the method.
It is important to remember that, despite the large number of surgical treatment methods offered by proctologists, a specific method is used for each stage of haemorrhoids. This is due to the studies conducted, the result of which was the study of early and long-term postoperative complications.
Forms of haemorrhoidal disease
Содержание
Depending on the location of enlarged haemorrhoids, haemorrhoids are divided into:
- external;
- internal;
- combined (combination of external and internal).
The disease occurs in both chronic and acute forms. The exacerbation of the disease in patients directly depends on the provoking factors. These include: a sedentary lifestyle, drinking alcohol, pregnancy and childbirth, constipation or diarrhea.
The most severe course of the disease is observed with an increase in internal nodes. Also, with this form it is necessary to conduct additional research methods. The doctor should always be aware of a more serious disease of the rectum, where one of the symptoms is the appearance of unchanged blood in the stool. For internal haemorrhoids, differential diagnosis is always carried out with diseases such as malignant and benign formations of the rectum.
Depending on the prolapse of internal haemorrhoids, the disease is divided into 4 stages:
First stage
Haemorrhoids do not protrude from the rectum.
Second stage
The nodes fall out and then move inward on their own.
Third stage
Prolapsed enlarged nodes have to be reset inside the rectum yourself.
Fourth stage
haemorrhoids that have fallen out can no longer be put back inside on their own.
What is transanal Doppler-guided disarterization?
The indication for the use of this method of surgical treatment is haemorrhoidal disease of the third and fourth stages. The essence of the operation is to ligate the arteries that supply haemorrhoids with blood.
It is important to understand that internal haemorrhoids occur in the same place in all patients. If we imagine the circumference of the rectum as a watch dial, then internal haemorrhoids form at 3, 7 and 11 o’clock.
Under the control of a Doppler sensor, the doctor determines the location of the haemorrhoidal arteries and performs their ligation. The method refers to minimally invasive interventions and is performed with anesthesia, the type of which is chosen individually. Pain and discomfort may occur during recovery; their severity and pain management plan are discussed in advance.
Today, most proctologists in the treatment of haemorrhoids of the third and fourth stages use the Milligan-Morgan method in the second modification of the Russian Research Institute of Proctology. This is due to the fact that not all medical centers are equipped with special medical ultrasound equipment for proctological operations, as well as low qualifications of specialists.
Transanal Doppler-controlled disarterization of internal haemorrhoids was proposed in 1995 as an alternative to the Milligan-Morgan method. This technique has a number of advantages, which will be described below.
What is the method using HAL-RAR technology?
In order to reduce early and long-term complications of transanal Doppler-controlled disarterization of internal haemorrhoids, specialists proposed supplementing the operation with fixation of varicose veins – mucopexy. The method is called HAL-RAR. Thanks to this technique, it is possible to avoid the occurrence of prolapse of the rectal mucosa, which is the most common complication of haemorrhoidectomy.
Advantages of the method
This method of haemorrhoidectomy has a number of advantages, which cannot be said about other operations for haemorrhoid removal. The most common include:
- the procedure is performed with selected anesthesia; pain and discomfort are possible after it;
- significant reduction in postoperative period;
- absence of early and late complications;
- the risk of possible relapse of the disease is reduced;
- absence of contraindications for such surgical intervention.
Also in our medical center, highly qualified specialists will help you get rid of such diseases as:
- anal fissure;
- fistulas of the pararectal region;
- epithelial coccygeal tract;
- presacral cyst.
Surgical operations are performed using both local and spinal anesthesia.
The estimated cost of disarterization is indicated on the pricing page. The final amount, including the volume of intervention and anesthesia, will be agreed upon after the examination.
Identified medical inaccuracies are clarified in the material. Methods, contraindications and recovery depend on the individual situation; information helps you prepare for the consultation.
