From November 24 to 27, 2021, the 17th World Conference on Endoscopic Surgery was held in Barcelona (Spain). During the symposiums and practical classes, teamwork showed its effectiveness: this applied to both classes, practical and theoretical, and work around the forum – everyone noted the highest level of organization of events and provision of everyday comfort for participants.
Conference program
The forum program included theoretical and practical parts, symposia and discussions alternated with master classes from the world’s leading surgeons.
Most of the program was devoted to laparoscopic surgery, without neglecting therapeutic methods of treatment and symptoms of diseases requiring surgical intervention.
Discussions of complex diagnostic cases aroused keen interest among the participants. Special time was devoted to the technical component: various types of medical equipment were considered that allow operations to be carried out using modern technologies – for example, the use of ultrasound techniques and fluorescence. Particular attention of the participants was attracted by robotic surgery, which is used as a type of endoscopy.
